Amsterdam Dance Event 2018 is breaking free and throwing down prison parties!
Nothing says underground like a prison, which is what makes this venue the perfect fit for an electronic music event or three.
Bijlmerbajes prison is a sinister and defunct penitentiary in close proximity to Amsterdam’s Amstel railway station; which will be transformed into a party haven for revellers attending ADE this year.
The event was organised by Audio Obscura, with the prison-which officially closed in 2016-will act as venue for three parties between Thursday, October 18 and Sunday, October 20.
The first night will see the beats break free as beloved North American selectors Seth Troxler and Honey Dijon helm the decks, bringing that uplifting flair of Chicago and Detroit house to the table, along with New York talent, Carista.
Lockdown into groove town
On Friday, 19 October, ADE revellers will receive a harsher sentence and the prison will take a darker turn with Electric Deluxe’s head honcho Speedy J, Rødhåd, Jon Hester and the British Clouds promising to showcase “techno in its finest form.”
The Pièce de résistance is happening on Saturday, 20 October, when the final of the 3-day prison riot will be headlined by none other than Mixmag’s 2017 DJ of the year; Nina Kraviz, who is bringing her трип label to the prison party of epic proportions.
Tickets for the three events are currently for sale; it’s the price for prison you will want to pay.
